For eligible Work and Income clients, iTraining offer a five-day entry level Traffic Controller Training Programme.

 

It allows participants to complete basic tasks on certain roads and is a great starting point for those wanting a career in the Traffic Management industry.

Who Should Attend:

• Anyone seeking to develop their knowledge about working on the road

• Those wanting to gain a Level 1 TC qualification

• Anyone required on roadworks sites and/or have some responsibility for Traffic Control

Course Prerequisites:

​

• Must be a registered Job Seeker with Work and Income

​​

Duration:

​

• 2-Day Course

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 8 hours (including breaks)

Cost:

​

• Funded by the Ministry of Social Development for registered Job Seekers with Work and Income

​​

Inclusion:

• Tea or Coffee

• Temporary TC qualification issued upon course completion

• Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued

Course Content:

• Level 1 Basic Traffic Controller (TC) Course

• Construct Safe Tier 1 Testing

• Practical Training:

  • Coning off the back of a truck

  • Reading Traffic Management Plans

  • Spill Kit and Harness Training

• Live Onsite Work Experience
